MANILA, Philippines — With The Cosplay Convention Calendar almost drawing to a close We have always sought one convention to return to the scene. The missing piece of the puzzle that we have been itching for a long time. until recently they have finally announced its return! The Best of Anime 2023: The Reunion.
The Best of Anime is one of the reoccurring cosplay conventions in the Philippines back in its early days It is one of the most anticipated conventions in the Philippines since their disappearance back in September 1st, 2019.
A Great line-up of Activities announced, like the all-star cosplay competition, anime sing-off, anime idol dance off will sure to keep the attendees entertained.
UchuSentai:NOIZ, Which is known for their cool and colorful costumes and highly energetic music the band was formed in 1999 with Angel Taka (Lead Vocalist), Masato (Guitarist and Vocalist), Kotaro (Guitarist), Kyo (Bassist), and Yamato (Drums). They are well known in covering the famous opm songs like Narda (composed by Kamikazee) and Liwanag sa Dilim (by Rivermaya).
Starmarie, is a Japanese idol group known for its music and charm that had
mesmerized its loyal fans since 2008 with members Nozomi
Kishita (Nonchan), Shino Takamori (Shinohamu), Hiroka Matsuzaki (Hiichan) and
Monya Nakane (Monya). The group has released over 4 albums and 12 hit singles with Mekurumeku Yuuki being used in the 2015 anime Cardfight!! Vanguard G and Natsu ni Nare! in the 2017 anime Cardfight!! Vanguard G Next.
Miura Ayame is the former lead singer of the visual kei rock band Ecthelion from 2013 to 2015 and then started his solo career in 2018. In 2019 he is the voice of Asmodeus in the otome game and anime series Obey Me! and has sung its opening theme song Sinful Indulgence, Celestial Rey, and lastly, Loveless as part of the Obey Me! boys.
Chicken Bowl The Idol, A Japanese idol rock group that first started in 2017 and has been re-formed back in 2022 with members Kazahana Assa, Touwa Mayoi, Akari Mikan, and Tsubomi Ruko. The Group has performed in multiple venues all over Japan, and in Thailand in 2022.
Pastel Mix is a J-pop cover idol group that is based in Davao City, performing a variety of popular idol groups such as AKB48, Love Live!, Walküre, Babymetal, and more. The group initially performed in Davao and gained popularity after their performances all over the Philippines and gained fans across the country.
Reika, one of the top cosplayers from around the globe and has over a whopping 1.4 million followers on Facebook and 210 thousand followers on Instagram is returning to the Philippines once more to be part of the event. She will be holding a Cosplay Make-Up Workshop teaching cosplayers and attendees how to properly use make-up in cosplay and you get to see her up close and personal during her Meet and Greet Sessions.
AC Hernandez, A World Cosplay Summit (WCS) Philippines alumni is one half of the group Team Namikaze with Jin Joson. He will also be part of this event as he Conducts a Prop Making Workshop that will help cosplayers in sword prop making using common materials, from patterning and construction, and why do-it-yourself props for cosplay are better in the long run
The Announcement really got attendees excited for what is yet to come from the organizers and BOA itself. It also put our minds at ease that The Best of Anime still has the skills to get things done and make them memorable, like in the days of old.
We believe that this Convention will be forever remembered as the Greatest Comeback in Philippine Cosplay Convention Scene We are very much
